After a year of feeling evicted from our own lives, and being out of sync by the new conditions imposed by 2020, we decided it was time for a new approach to work.

We wanted to encourage everyone to bring the best they got to their teams, which is why we’re now presenting the new Home page for our web app, which will serve as the hub where everyone can take action. You can check it out now if you haven’t (requires sign-in).

New Home, improved navigation and responsive design

Report status, check-ins activity, and handy task shortcuts are some of the first things you’ll notice in your new home. We’re also presenting a new set of icons: they feel lighter to the eye, and they’re part of our commitment to a simpler yet more empowering experience.

And who knows? Perhaps the change of furniture is a sign of a bigger family? 😉 Time will tell.

Improvements on navigation

As you can see in the web app already, or even from these pictures, we made the decision to completely change our navigation. We understand how critical the main menu is for you, which is why we worked hard to simplify the ways in which you can find and make things at DailyBot.

The refreshed vertical menu now has a Home, Check-ins, Kudos Commands, and a Quick Actions button at the top, and a Settings and informational button at the bottom of the bar. You’ll find all your configuration at the “organization” level on “Settings” (members, teams, org timezone, etc.), while managing your everyday check-ins and templates from the Check-ins button, and so on.

Exploring new paths in team collaboration

It might take a pandemic to help you reevaluate life. And when it comes to work, we collectively figured:

  • We don’t need to be in the office all the time.
  • But we’ve realized how important social life is.
  • Now we can clearly see how working together can be refined online.

For all these reasons and more, we decided to expand our scope and reimagine what effective teamwork means for us.

So these new changes today are not only a promise that wants to bring out the best in yourself, but a sneak peak of a much stronger DailyBot: the teammate that won't be only focused on reducing your meetings anymore, but will be an active advocate for your wellbeing, your team productivity and development, and your work satisfaction.

We’re eager for you to try the new look and feel of DailyBot. These are the first steps of a new direction we’re taking to improve team collaboration, and we’d love to hear some thoughts about it.

What would you like to see more at ‘Home’? What information would be handy for you? Do you find the new menu more convenient? As always, the door’s always open, just write us at support@dailybot.com

Up to the next time!
